On the text element click on the "Full Screen" Icon, this will open the full screen version of the text editor. Using the mouse highlight the text for the link. Click on the "insert link" button on the HTML editor toolbar. This will open up a window, click on the external links tab. Here you can select an external link from the menu; the title field is the name that appears when mouse is over the link.
