How do I produce a link from my site to a word/PDF document?

Here are the steps for linking to a PDF/MS Word document:

  1. In the Content paragraph that you want to put the link into click the "full Screen" button (If you hover over the buttons it tells you what they are).
  2. Once the content paragraph has expanded to the "full Screen" size highlight the text or image that is to be the link and then click on the "Insert Link" button.
  3. In the window which pops up there are 3 tabs along the top - select the "File Link" tab (the right most of the 3 tabs).
  4. Click on the "Libraries" drop down list and select the library that is the location of your document.
  5. Then use the "File" dropdown to select the PDF you want. If it isn't in here then upload the document to your library and then repeat the steps to point 5 and it should be there.
  6. Set the "Target" dropdown to "New Window" and in the "Title" textbox enter any text that you want to appear as a tool tip when you hover over the link.
  7. Press "Ok" in the pop up; Press "Done" in the full screen paragraph editor. Remember to "save" the changes to the page then publish the page.
